Heaton Valves Africa (Pty) Limited (HVA), was established in 1992, as agents in Southern Africa for Heaton Valves UK, with the aim of providing a first-class stockholding and distribution service to the oil, petrochemical, process and associated industries. Since then, this privately owned company, with its shareholders playing an active role as its directors, has weathered the challenges from conglomerate owned competitors and grown from strength to strength, with a Durban branch being established in 1998 situated ideally to service the KwaZulu-Natal region.

In order to maintain suitable and focussed client support, and ensuring specific assistance with minimum delays, HVA established two distinct divisions, namely “Petrochem” and “Process”. HVA obtained the sole local distributorships for TLV and Leser in 2000. The acquisition of the Velan and OMB agencies in 2001 added immense depth to the product offering.

2003 saw the establishment of a Cape Town branch. This office provides an essential service to Cape valve distributors and users requiring prompt response and deliveries.

SchuF Valve Technology, realising Heaton Valves Africa was a force to be reckoned with within the South African valve market after their continuous growth and expansion, awarded their agency to the Process Division in 2004. Soon thereafter, Tomoe butterfly valves and Protego flame arresters and low pressure tank equipment, placed their trust in Heaton representing them.

Other principles represented by HVA include Audco India Limited (AIL), and 3Z Double Block and Bleed valves.

HVA boasts Technip, Foster Wheeler, Fluor, Linde, Lurgi, Sasol, Sastech, Uhde, Engen, Sapref (Shell and BP), Eskom, Chevron, ACSA, LTA, Air Products, PetroSA, SABMiller, Sappi, Mondi, Dunlop, Bridgestone and Petronet amongst its clientele.
